New Ministry Development in the Episcopal Church

This web page is a gateway into a growing collection of resources for Church Planters and Ministry Innovators throughout our Episcopal Church. These are fresh stories and resources – real life examples of what it means to be disciples of Jesus Christ in the Episcopal Church. Each of these stories begins with a vision of what it means to be members of God’s family in a world where family is often hard to be found. Those visions become reality through lots of passion and hard work. Too often they unfold in relative isolation – sort of behind the scenes. We want to change that by sharing the stories of these remarkable leaders in today’s church. We hope their stories will inspire you to ask, “How can I help with this exciting work of “birthing” new ministries?”

And so, just a link away, we invite you to join us on this Journey of Discovery as we ask, “What does it mean to ‘Go therefore and make all nations my disciples?’ What does it look like when the Episcopal Church rallies together around the call to start fresh expressions of the Episcopal Church with Isaiah 61 on their hearts?”

“The Spirit of God, the Master, is on me because God anointed me. He sent me to preach good news to the poor, heal the heartbroken, announce freedom to all captives, pardon all prisoners. God sent me to announce the year of his grace!” (Isaiah 61, from The Message)
