April 10th National Day of Action
For Immigrant Justice

4/6/2006
National Day of Action for Immigrant Justice

Visit www.april10.org  and www.cirnow.org to learn about the National Day for Immigrant Justice or find a rally in your area.

The National Day of Action for Immigrant Justice will provide the opportunity for advocates to have their voices heard in support of a comprehensive approach to immigration reform that includes a pathway toward earned citizenship, reunites families, protects human and worker rights, and permits the orderly flow of legal workers into the United States.

Episcopal Church staff and clergy will join advocates from other faith-based organizations, immigrant communities and grassroots supporters on April 10, 2006 in cities across the country for what is expected to be the largest mobilization for immigrant justice in our nations history.

Visit the Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) and Office of Government Relations (OGR) websites for recent advocacy and news on the Episcopal Churchs response to immigration reform.

EMM and OGR staff will be present at the Washington, D.C. rally.  The rally in Washington will begin at 4:00pm at the Washington Monument.  If you would like to join us in Washington or plan to join a rally in another city across the country, please e-mail Molly Keane at mkeane@episcopalchurch.org to let us know.
