Canticle 11 in the BCP (p. 87), also known as the Third Song of Isaiah, based on Is 60:1-3, 11a, 14c, 18-19. It is named for the opening words of the canticle in Latin, which begins with the phrase "Arise, shine, for your light has come." It celebrates the glorious restoration of Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the Jerusalem temple. Imagery for the new Jerusalem in Rv 21 is based on this passage. The BCP Table of Canticles suggests use of Canticle 11 after the OT reading at Morning Prayer on Sunday and Wednesday and after the OT reading at Evening Prayer on Thursday (pp. 144-145).
